At RHTLaw Taylor Wessing, the journey to partnership is taken very seriously. Our partners are business leaders who are expected to excel as practitioners.
We are pleased to announce that partners Jeremiah Huang and Sharon Chong are the Singapore Business Review’s (SBR) top 20 most influential lawyers age 40 and under for 2019. This inclusion comes after careful selection from hundreds of nominees with specialisations ranging from dispute resolution, restructuring and insolvency and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) amongst others.
Jeremiah is one of our firm’s youngest partner and is from the Corporate and Capital Markets practice. He counsels clients on capital markets, corporate finance, M&A and funds as well as advises on post-IPO, corporate governance and compliance issues. Notably, he is the legal advisor for Singapore’s Association of Listed Companies and the Australian Alumni Singapore.
Sharon is a partner with the Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice. She specializes in advising clients in complex commercial disputes in Southeast Asia and beyond. She has handled various complex litigation and dispute resolution cases involving medical negligence, cross-border investments, aviation contracts and trust disputes. She is also one of the few lawyers in Singapore to have appeared before judges at all levels in court, including international arbitration.
Azman Jaafar, Managing Partner of RHTLaw Taylor Wessing, commented:
“Becoming a partner in our firm is no mean feat. It is a deliberate process of selection that comes together with mentorship and training. Both Sharon and Jeremiah are both beneficiaries of our New Partner Program. We are proud to have Jeremiah and Sharon recognised by SBR for their achievements and we congratulate both of them in having come this far.”
