The prospect of both parents and their children living in retirement at the same time will fundamentally change expectations of filial responsibility as a result of an increase in dependency ratio. The expected increase in demand for healthcare and social services creates an urgent need for corporate giving to complement government programmes in addressing the issues of an ageing population.
