As a caring and people centric firm, RHT Law is passionate about giving back to the community and participating actively in charitable causes.
This Christmas season, the firm hopes to play a part in ensuring that children with cancer can still lead a normal childhood by leading a donation drive in aid of RHT Law’s adopted charity, Children’s Cancer Foundation (CCF) .
Apart from internal donations from members of the firm, an appeal also goes out to clients and visitors of RHT Law to chip in generously in support of the beneficiaries of CCF. Donations can be via cash or cheque made payable to ‘Children’s Cancer Foundation’.
Each donor will be given a card to write their well wishes for the children and families affected by childhood cancer, which will be given to CCF to convey their love and well wishes at the end of the donation drive.
The collection period will be throughout December 2011.
As a caring and people centric firm, RHT Law is supporting the ‘Learn-A-Thon 2011’ charity event and is the Honorary Legal Advisor to its organising committee.
This social media driven philanthropic initiative expects to draw in 2000 attendees at Kallang Theatre and raise S$100,000 for Singapore-based regional relief charity, Mercy Relief. The funds raised by the Learn-A-Thon will be donated to Mercy Relief and will mostly go towards humanitarian relief, clean up and reconstruction efforts after the waters have subsided, which is where international aid contributions will be most welcomed.
14 of Asia’s top wealth creation and motivational speakers, some of whom have flown in especially for this event, will share their expertise free of charge during the event. More information can be found on their website http://learnathon2011.wordpress.com/.
The Learn-A-Thon 2011 will take place at 7pm on Monday, 28 November 2011 at Kallang theatre. Interested participants may register via this website: http://learn-a-thon2011.eventbrite.com/
Ms Amita Dutt, Partner and co-head of RHT Law’s Finance and Real Estate Practice has been nominated by in-house counsel and professional peers as one of the outstanding practitioners in Euromoney’s 9th edition of the Guide to the World's Leading Real Estate Lawyers, to be published in December 2011.
To qualify as an outstanding practitioner, each individual must meet a strict threshold of nominations from his or her peers after analysis and screening for firm, formal network, group or alliance bias. The research involved a survey over 3,000 questionnaires to senior in-house counsel, partners at pre-eminent law firms, and other specialists in over 60 jurisdictions, as well as interviews with a select group of specialists in leading commercial centres worldwide.
This is the latest addition to her list of accolades, which include recognition as one of the top Real Estate lawyers by the International Bar Association in the 2008 edition of Who's Who Legal-Singapore and by AsiaLaw as a Leading Lawyer in Banking and Real Estate in 2010. This is also her second consecutive nomination as an outstanding practitioner in her field in the Guide to the World's Leading Real Estate Lawyers.
RHT Law congratulates and supports Amita on her pursuit of excellence in this field.
