RHTLaw Taylor Wessing was the only law firm to be recognised at the 10th Annual HRM Awards for its Human Resource practices. The other nominees were mainly multi-national companies, such as Google, Cisco Systems and international banks, and government ministries.
The Firm was nominated for the categories of “Fair Employment Practices” and “Best Reward & Recognition Strategies”, for which UBS and Unilever were the eventual winners, respectively.
The event was held on 1st March 2013 at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel and was attended by over 800 HR and business leaders.

Mr John Wang, Partner of the Banking & Finance, Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice, is the recipient of the International Law Office (ILO) Client Choice Awards 2013 for the Arbitration category in Singapore.
Established in 2005, the Client Choice Awards recognise those law firms and partners around the world that stand apart for the excellent client care they provide and the quality of their service. The criteria for the awards focus on law firms' ability to add real value to their clients' business above and beyond the other players in the market. This year's recipients were chosen from more than 2,000 individual assessments received from corporate counsel worldwide.

RHTLaw Taylor Wessing congratulates RHT Corporate Advisory on its appointment as the corporate secretarial agent by Hock Lian Seng (“Hock Lian Seng” or “the Group”), a Listed Company with effect from 15 February 2013.
Hock Lian Seng is one of the leading civil engineering group in Singapore, with an established track record of more than 40 years. The Group was listed on the Mainboard of Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited (“SGX-ST”) in December 2009.
Established in 1969, Hock Lian Seng has undertaken and completed wide range of civil engineering projects for both the public and private sectors in Singapore. We carry out civil engineering works for bridges, expressways, tunnels, Mass Rapid Transit (“MRT”), port facilities, water and sewage facilities and other infrastructure works. The Group has successfully completed Kim Chuan Depot, one of the world’s largest underground depots with housing capacity for up to 77 trains, for the Circle Line in 2007.
The major customers for the Group include government and government-related bodies of Singapore, such as the Land Transport Authority, Housing Development Board, PSA Singapore Terminals, Public Utility Board and Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore.
The Group also procures and sells building material (concreting sand and aggregates) for building and construction purposes mainly for Singapore public sector contracts. The Group has added property investment and development activities in the residential, commercial and industrial sectors as principal activities.
